TNT Sports is ‘excited’ to have Dale Earnhardt Jr. join NASCAR broadcast team

Earnhardt serves as an on-air commentator for TNT Sports’ exclusive coverage of five NASCAR Cup Series races each summer, airing consecutive weeks on TNT and the Bleacher Report Sports tier of its Max streaming service (formerly HBO Max).

Additionally, Earnhardt will contribute to a new B/R content series distributed across social and digital platforms. The new series, co-produced with Earnhardt’s Dirty Moe Media, will feature interviews with special guests behind the wheel of TNT’s five Cup trucks.

In addition to joining TNT Sports, Earnhardt will also serve as part of Prime Video’s broadcast team for the first season in 2025.

Last November, NASCAR announced a seven-year, multibillion-dollar television rights deal for the Cup Series that included a streaming component for the first time.

Under the new agreement, which begins in 2025, Fox will host 14 Cup races a year, including the Daytona 500 in the first half of the season. After Fox, five events will be streamed on Amazon’s Prime Video, marking the first time NASCAR’s premier series will be broadcast exclusively live. -Streaming.

Following Amazon, Warner Bros. Discovery will host the next five Cup races, which will be simulcast on both TNT and Max’s B/R Sports tier. NBC Sports will conclude the season with a final 14 races, including the final race of the championship.

In addition to broadcasting every Xfinity race, The CW will also include unique elements in the 2025 season, including Cup practice and qualifying sessions. Typically each race weekend includes a two-hour window.

The majority of these sessions will be televised by Amazon Prime and WBD (streaming on Max and simulcast on truTV).

Earnhardt’s career included 26 Cup wins and eight playoff berths (2004, 2006, 2008, 2011-15). He also owns the Xfinity Series championship his second time.
