Video of Ned laughing and talking about Drake Bell’s sexual assault goes viral, star releases statement ‘declassified’

This is what Devon Werkhiser wrote to Drake Bell

On Tuesday, March 19th, Werkheiser did the following: X, formerly known as Twitter, is a tool for sharing statements. The 33-year-old explained that he was made a “stupid” for speaking about the documentary Quiet on Set without watching The Shade Room As previously reported, “Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” aired earlier this week. In the four-part documentary, he investigated the “toxic” work culture of popular children’s shows from the ’90s to the 2000s.

During the series, Drake Bell revealed that he was repeatedly sexually assaulted by a Nickelodeon dialogue coach when he was 15 years old.

“I was an idiot today,” Werkhiser wrote. “There’s no way around it. I feel horrible that my stupid *** was talking about it without seeing it.”

From there, the actor explained that he was “heartbroken” after watching the series.

“I watched ‘Quiet on Set’ tonight and I’m horrified by the magnitude of what Drake and others shared,” he continued. “My heart breaks for what my fellow actors went through. I can’t believe they weren’t protected. I’m sorry I caused more harm.”

Additionally, Werkheiser added the following caption next to his statement:

“I’m so sorry to Drake. I hurt you and I’m disappointed.”

As of now, Drake Bell has yet to publicly react or respond to Werkheiser’s apology.

Here’s what the ‘Ned Declassified’ actor said previously

as The Shade Room It was previously reported that on March 19, footage of the Ned Declassified star and additional castmates went viral online. In the footage, Werkheiser and other cast members joke and laugh about the series and Bell’s revelations.

“Daniel, we told you never to talk about it. Daniel, go back to the hole and give me the hole!” he said, per hollywood reporter. “I’m sorry, but we shouldn’t joke about this. We really shouldn’t. Our set was nothing like that.”

In response, Bell did the following: Xhas reached out to Werkhiser and his crew for comment. The Shade Room:

“Ned’s unclassification…this is wild…smile, guys…smile…’give me your shit?!!’ Really?!”
