Business
release date: May 1, 2024by Annie Pilonin Small business news0
Marcus Moore is its founder moor crunch, a pretzel business that sells its products at several prominent stores and landmarks around Maryland, including Camden Yards, the National Aquarium, Fish Paws, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. He also has autism.
Moore founded the business just under two years ago and has already expanded significantly, investing in a commercial kitchen, adding new flavors and expanding into new locations. During April, which was his Autism Awareness Month, Moore conducted his own “Crunch Crew Tour,” stopping at locations selling his products and meeting new people.
In fact, the opportunity to meet people and expand his skills was one of the main reasons he started his business.
Moore said. told WBAL-TV11“I was also able to have great interactions with more people and learn social skills, which was very effective in alleviating my social anxiety. It has continued to improve ever since.”
While the business has helped Mr Moore overcome his own challenges, he also hopes it will inspire others, show what is possible for people with autism and make a difference. I want to give everyone the courage to pursue their dreams.
he said: “Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do. There’s always a way.”
Moore is just one of many small businesses run by people on the autism spectrum. Everyone has varying degrees of challenges and differences, but these differences do not prevent people from being entrepreneurial. And in some cases, the differences between the two can be strengths in the business world.
Even for those without autism, Moore’s story can provide inspiration to embrace differences and get excited about overcoming challenges. And for many adults and young people on the autism spectrum, he is an example of what is possible and how much they can achieve.
